Hello, my name is Chase Lyall, and I am a Senior Product Manager for Acquia's Marketing Cloud. I am especially interested in how large datasets can improve politics, healthcare, and human lives. Therefore, I am working to better understand big data analytics, large-scale web applications, and the technologies behind them, including: cloud architectures, databases, data analysis, data visualization, and whatever else I can get my hands on. This website is mostly a means for me to practice and play with web development. Its contents may become out of date.
Outside of work I enjoy catching up on the news via NPR, BBC, The New York Times, and/or Reddit. To exercise I enjoy running, biking, weight lifting, and rock climbing. When the opportunity arises I especially enjoy travelling so that I can learn about other cultures and cuisines. I also enjoy skiing and snowboarding, hiking and camping, games, and assisting our homeless. I would like to plug some creators who have greatly improved my life: Our World in Data, NPR One, WBEZ's This American Life, HBO's Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, CBS's 60 Minutes, Google Photos, and Google Maps.
